Tripiti

Tripiti

The village of Tripiti (Holes) is the natural continuation of Plaka, but to the south. It took its name because of the several holes carved in the soft volcanic rocks around the village. It is a picturesque seaside village with a wonderful view towards the bay of Milos. It is worth to drink a coffee there and enjoy the view.

Characteristic for the village are the restored windmills, which anyone can rent for his accommodation and the imposing church of Agios (St.) Nikolaos.

Near Tripiti, to be visited even on foot, are the Catacombs and the Ancient Theater of Milos. Attention, please ask before you visit the Catacombs, because it may be closed.
